Today’s film is another of those ones that simply sprung up on Netflix and I thought I’d give a turn. At the danger of national stereotyping, my supposition before beginning this is it will be a seeking take a gander at the degree of Dutch complicity with the Nazis in WWII a topic that was broadly investigated in what (I believe?) is the enormous name Dutch war film, Soldier of Orange. Try not to quote me on that, however.
Anyway, I figure my point is that a specific measure of uncomfortable equivocalness or inside and out judgment is the standard in European movies managing this period, which I need to state shapes an invigorating differentiation to the rah-rah-rah tone in a considerable measure of the other outside movies I watch.
